John Deere PowrQuad: Five ranges, each with four gears. Operated via range shift lever and gear shift lever plus reverser lever. Clutch must be used to change range, clutchless power shift between gears and for direction change.

John Deere PowrQuad Plus: PowrQuad Plus is standard on tractors with cab, replacing the separate gear shift lever with a push-button gear shift on the range lever. Available in 16- or 20-speed. Clutch must be used to change range, cluthless push-button power shift for speeds.

John Deere PowrQuad Creeper: Optional creeper could be added to both the 16- and 20-speed PowrQuad. Creeper is engaged with a separate shift lever that selects between creeper (turtle) and the standard transmission ratio (rabbit). Tractor must be stopped, clutch used, and engine speed below 1000 RPMs to shift in or out of the creeper.
