Transmission notes
John Deere PowrQuad: Four speeds (1-4) in four ranges (A-D) with reverser lever. Speeds (1-4) and forward-reverse shuttle are power shifts. Ranges are synchronized, and may be shifting on the move by using the clutch. Also available as 20-speed with five ranges.
John Deere PowerShift: The power shift transmission is operated with a single right-hand shift lever. Transmission can be directly shifted up to gear 11 forward and 7 reverse.
AutoPowr: The AutoPowr IVT became available in 2002.
John Deere AutoQuad: Four speeds (1-4) in five ranges (A-E) with reverser lever. Speeds (1-4) and forward-reverse shuttle are power shifts. Ranges are synchronized, and may be shifting on the move by using the clutch. AutoQuad uses push-button gear shifting on the range shift lever. Auto mode allows for automatic gear shifting to match load.
