John Deere SyncroPlus: Three gears (1-3) plus reverse (R) in four ranges (A-D). Directional, gear, and range changes are synchronized and may be shifting while moving by using the clutch. Optional creeper adds an additional nine forward and three reverse speeds (ranges A-C) for a total of 21-forward and 7-reverse.

John Deere SyncroPlus Power Reverser: Four gears (1-4) in four ranges (A-D) with left-hand reverser. Gear and range shifts are synchronized. Power shuttle shifting between forward and reverse. Only available on open-station (ROPS) equipped tractors.

John Deere PowrQuad: Four gears (1-4) in four ranges (A-D) with reverser lever. Clutchless power shift between gears (1-4) and direction changes (power shuttle). Range shifts (A-D) are synchronized, and may be shifted while the tractor is moving by using the clutch. Optional creeper adds an additional 12 speeds for 28 forward and reverse (ranges A-C). The PowrQuad uses a gear-shift lever while the PowrQuad Plus (cab tractors only) offers push-button gear shifting.
