John Deere SyncroPlus: Three gears (1-3) plus reverse (R) in four ranges (A-D). Directional, gear, and range changes are synchronized and may be shifting while moving by using the clutch. Optional creeper adds an additional nine forward and three reverse speeds for a total of 21-forward and 7-reverse. The SyncroPlus Power Reverser adds a fourth gear in the place of reverse, and includes a left-hand reverser lever, for 16 forward and reverse speeds.

John Deere PowrQuad: Four gears (1-4) in four ranges (A-D) with reverser lever. Clutchless power shift between gears (1-4) and direction changes (power shuttle). Range shifts (A-D) are synchronized, and may be shifted while the tractor is moving by using the clutch. Optional creeper adds an additional twelve speeds for 28 forward and reverse. The PowrQuad uses a gear-shift lever while the PowrQuad Plus (cab tractors only) offers push-button gear shifting.

John Deere PowrQuad Plus: Four gears (1-4) in six ranges (A-F) with reverser lever. Push-button power shifting between gears (1-4) and power shuttle directional shifting using the reverser lever. Ranges (A-F) may be shifted on the move by using the clutch. Optional AutoQuad offers automatic gear shifting to match load.

John Deere IVT: Continuously-variable transmission with built-in creeper and left-hand reverser lever. Speed-adjusting dial sets the maximum speed for each band. Setting maximum speed of Band 1 to less than 2 KPH (1.3 MPH) engages creeper mode. Only available on cab tractors.
